Big Wow ComicFest 2013 – Spotlight

Boston Metaphysical Society

The web-comic “Boston Metaphysical Society” created by Madeleine Holly-Rosing is a very cool supernatural steampunk mystery. The two main characters, Samuel Hunter and Caitlin O’Sullivan, are pretty much steampunk ghost-busters. Skillfully written and gorgeously illustrated, this excellent work is something you should keep your eye on. There are currently 2 issues out of the planned 6, with issue 3 well under way. Ferric Press

We chatted with CEO and head writer of Ferric Press Chris Williamson about his two exciting projects “Gevaudan” and “Ferrous Bloom”. Gevaudan follows the story of French peasants terrorized by a Wolf-like creature. This comic is ambitiously written completely in rhyme, and illustrated with great skill. Next, Bloom is an excellent detective story taking place in a fully realized high tech future. Chris’s comics were some of our favorites from Big Wow this year.
